In February 7th-9th, 2012, Bianca Stegeran, Project Manager for HHC Romania, participated in the “EU Disability Workshop”, a European project conducted by the Open University in London, Camden Town. The theme of the workshop was the integration of disabled persons in the various sectors of society. The workshop welcomed specialists from various fields, such as psychology and social assistance, from different universities and associations in Kazakhstan, Slovenia, Serbia, Austria, Great Britain, Croatia and Romania.
The purpose of the workshop was creating a communication network between participants, making way for the development of partnerships meant to access funding from the future European Union programme – Horizon 2020. The specialists present tried to identify common research themes in the field of including disabled persons in everything related to society.
